1. Rockpool Bar & Grill
Rockpool is a great place to go if you are looking for a high-quality steak. Steak melted in the mouth. You can get a variety of specialty cuts from specialty meat producers and offer dry aged cuts as well. The wine list here is really extensive.
2. Mr. Wong

Mr Wong never fails to please. Awesome vibes, industrial decor, food authentic enough. Staff are smart, attentive and friendly. This has become one of Sydney’s premiere Chinese food destinations. It was very busy on a weeknight, so I recommend making reservations if you are a group and want to visit on the weekend.
3. Cafe Sydney

Absolutely gorgeous views of Sydney and ambiance – perfect for a date night/celebration. Food is very well-presented and large drinks menu, however food menu can be restrictive and does not fill you up! The food is good (depending on what you order)- though I highly recommned the salted caramel martini!
4. Intermezzo Italian Restaurant

I would say the best Italian in Sydney CBD but there also isn’t much competition in the area. Service was great and there is an extensive menu however, we were more impressed with the entrees and desserts then the mains. The prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella was so good and so was the pannacotta. Nothing beats the actual building and ambiance of the GPO.
5. Thai Pothong Restaurant

They claim to be the best Thai food in Sydney (something you hear all the time) but I may actually think they are right. The food was delicious, hot, and fresh. My pad Thai noodles were cooked perfectly and the green curry was amazing. The staff was friendly, and everyone wanted to make sure I had been helped and was happy.
6. Ichiban Teppanyaki

I’ve been here once in the past several years ago and the lovely decor and atmosphere is still the same. The chefs and their service are all friendly and fun 🙂 Teppan-yaki is great with many people especially those who enjoy a meal and a show. We only chose the small banquet but for the bigger eaters you can always choose the larger banquets. Our small banquet had salad, miso soup, teriyaki chicken, beef, fish, fried rice and ice cream with fruit. I do recommend to not wear your fanciest clothes but opt for comfortable clothing. This may not be those fancy upscale teppan-yaki places, but the enjoyable and fun atmosphere certainly takes the place.
7. Braza Churrascaria

Love this place!! Who wouldn’t want a continuous flow of an amazing selection of different meats? My only recommendation would be to eat very little for the entire day prior. Good spot next to a little park. Some great wines in the selection would recommend the Albarino.
8. Coogee Pavilion

One of my favorite places in Sydney – great rooftop views, music, vibe, fit out, events, and delicious woodfire oven pizza. Nice house wines, afternoon deals ($15 pizza with a drink). A great place for a date, party, brunch or anything else you feel like.
9. Pancakes on the rocks

Love me some good pancakes!! This place is pretty much amazing. Just go there to drown yourself in syrup and pancake batter. Make sure to make a reservation. Otherwise, you will most likely spend a decent amount of time waiting for a table. Food was delicious as always. Loved how it’s 24 hours and they serve alcohol too, so midnight is a great time to be there. Makes for one hell of a sweet night!
10. Munich Brauhaus The Rocks

Been here a few times and the atmosphere is great! Would recommend the pork knuckle; it was absolutely delicious and such a classic dish! They have imported beer which is good and it’s as if you’re in Germany! Can get a bit noisy inside with all the people and music playing but that’s expected.
This restaurant has been there for decades. The well known Lowenbrau Keller Bavarian Beer Hall, with the famous waitress outfits and Oktoberfest atmosphere. For whatever reason they threw the name away and renamed, confusing locals and tourists alike. They have the Lowenbrau beer glasses on display.
11. Jamie’s Italian Sydney

Popped in at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Food is amazing. I had the lamb ravioli and it was so nice. The chocolate brownie desert was sublime I’ve never had one so delicious as this one. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Sydney
