Food is the way to experience a country, especially when in Georgia. From khinkali or khachapuri, here are the best places to try Georgian cuisine in Tbilisi.
1. Sakhachapure №1
Food here was great! It is my first time to try Georgian cuisine and i like it a lot. Spacious interior and soft chairs, very comfortable. Waiters could speak English and he suggested us the chocolate drink and also give a cherry soda drink for free. Soft lovely music playing in the background. Food was served pretty quick. We ordered achma and 5 Khinkali each and it was tasty.

Tips: Eat Khinkali with hand, not fork and knife. Firstly, you hold the ‘crown’ (typically not eaten) of the Khinkali with your right hand and lift the bottom part with your left hand, so it’s upside down. Slowly and carefully, bite a small hole in the Khinkali and drink the delicious juice inside. Then bite in and enjoy the rest!
2. Georgian House

Totally recommend this place if you want to try out Georgian cuisine. The place very artsy and attracts trendy people. The overall vibe was a great neat place to go with your friend and have some drinks with tasty food. We ate lobiani for starter and veal with adjika for the main course.
3. Khinkali House on Rustaveli

Big portions and really reasonable prices. We took 15 Khinkalis with 5 different flavours for 2 people 🙂 I like the place as they have a massive sitting area. Khinkalis with meat and local beers are definitely a must to try!
4. Sakhli #11

We had an amazing evening at Sakhli#11. All dishes were made of the finest quality ingredients, the portions were very generous, whereas the red wine was tasty. Moreover, we had a chance to see live acoustic that playing from the other table.
5. Ezo

Amazing place with great food and atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Tbilisi. The only thing that could be improved is the waiting time for food, would be appreciated if the great food could be served faster.
6. Lolita
I got Lolita recommended. Electrifying, pulsating and hip place to be in Vera area. You should definitely try the breakfast/brunch. Also very nice at night for some drinks and snacks or for dinner! The food and drinks were good and the prices were reasonable. I also tried the pistachio tart.
7. Batoni

Well authentic Georgian food, nice music, and great and host are very friendly with great mustache. This place is heaven for food lover. I ordered the grilled pork and chicken garlic and itv was super yummy!
8. Purpur

We got this place recommended by our tour guide. Located on the first floor, you’ll need to walk upstairs Very expensive compared to the Tbilisi average. The ambience is nice, if not crowded you can feel as if you are in an old apartment indeed. The music is good but it took a while to serve our desserts and drinks.
